Vice President Mike Pence To Campaign For GOP Gubernatorial Nominee Ed Gillespie In Virginia

There’s big news in the Virginia governor’s race. As the Associated Press reports, Vice President Mike Pence will campaign for Virginia’s GOP Gubernatorial Nominee Ed Gillespie on Saturday, October 14. The Vice President’s visit comes as Gillespie’s campaign shows clear signs of momentum, rolling out key endorsements and comprehensive policy proposals to highlight how he will work to empower Virginia’s economy and expand opportunity. With polls showing the race to be a dead heat roughly one month from Election Day, Vice President Pence’s support will further invigorate Gillespie’s candidacy.

The Associated Press reports:

“Vice President Mike Pence will be campaigning in southwest Virginia this week with Republican gubernatorial candidate Ed Gillespie.

Gillespie spokesman David Abrams says Pence and Gillespie will appear at a rally Saturday in Abingdon. It will be Pence’s first campaign event for Gillespie, a former Republican National Committee chairman who is facing Democratic Lt. Gov. Ralph Northam.”
