Nikki Fried is very busy being called out by national news anchors for lying about Gov. DeSantis’ record, but that still doesn’t explain why she is late.
Nikki Fried’s financial disclosure is officially over a month late. Florida officials holding elected office, like Fried, are required to turn in their annual financial disclosure for the previous year on July 1. But Nikki Fried’s 2020 report is no where to be found. Fried has already faced increased scrutiny for repeatedly editing previous filings after she failed to disclose hundreds of thousands of dollars in income, and she will be charged $25 a day if she doesn’t file her 2020 report by September 1.
“If Nikki Fried is unable to keep track of how much money is flowing into her bank account, she clearly can’t be trusted to accurately understand or communicate any basic data,” said RGA spokesperson Joanna Rodriguez. “If Fried prides herself so much on being the ‘only statewide-elected Democrat in Florida‘ then she should probably spend more time meeting the deadlines for her current job instead of chasing a promotion she’ll never get.”
