Just one month before election day, the Oregon governor’s race has become extremely competitive, with Republican gubernatorial candidate Knute Buehler surging in his bid to oust Democrat Governor Kate Brown. A new poll out today finds the race a “virtual dead heat,” with the race within the margin of error.
This poll comes as Kate Brown’s campaign is reportedly faltering and “in trouble,” with Democrat voters “abandoning” her campaign to support Knute Buehler. RealClearPolitics recently moved their ranking of the race to “toss up,” signaling that Buehler’s strong, policy-oriented campaign is working.
Kate Brown has failed Oregon – the education system is struggling to produce results, homelessness is out of control, and Brown is responsible for mismanaging over a hundred million dollars in healthcare spending. Oregonians are hungry for change, and the close governor’s race in deep-blue Oregon reflects that.
