Mark Begich and Bill Walker Embrace Same Failed Democrat Agenda That Hurts Alaskans

In the Alaska governor’s race, not just one but two supporters of the failed Democrat agenda will be on the ballot in November.

For months, Mark Begich and Bill Walker have been playing a game of musical chairs with each other to determine which candidate will be the standard bearer for the failed Democrat policies of the last four years. But, on Tuesday, the final deadline for candidates to drop out passed with both Begich and Walker still in the race.

Although neither candidate could agree to put aside their political ambitions, here are three critical issues for Alaska where there’s no daylight between Begich and Walker:

Higher Taxes: Despite pledging not to support “a statewide tax” in 2014, Walker is pushing a massive income tax hike on working families. Just like Walker, Begich has consistently supported tax hikes throughout his political career.

Massive Deficits: Under Bill Walker, Alaska has run a multi-billion dollar deficit every year he’s been in office, resulting in numerous credit downgrades for the state. Just like Walker, Begich left Anchorage with a huge budget deficit during his tenure as Mayor and voted in favor of massive deficits and increases in government spending while in the U.S. Senate.

Rising Crime: During Bill Walker’s governorship, crime rates in Alaska skyrocketed. Just like Walker, crime increased dramatically when Begich was Mayor of Anchorage. Appallingly, violent crime alone increased over 50% over his tenure.

Alaskans desperately want change and won’t vote again for the same failed Democrat policies of Mark Begich and Bill Walker.
