Voters in Florida are quickly learning that Democrat gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum is more comfortable supporting the agenda of his far-left donors like George Soros over improving education for Florida students. Last week, the Florida House of Representatives passed the “School of Hope” bill, a new plan to move students away from failing public schools to charter schools within the area and give parents the options to make the best decisions for their children. Gillum slammed the bill, but then refused to answer questions on how he would improve education if elected.
Florida Politics reports:
“Gillum at first wouldn’t answer whether he would veto such funding if he were governor, saying instead he would put a ‘premium’ on fully funding the state’s public school system.
A spokesman later said he would veto that kind of funding if elected, explaining Gillum ‘fundamentally believes the bill’s approach is wrong.”
Instead of offering concrete solutions, Gillum attacked the plan citing party politics and couldn’t come up with a single item that he finds wrong with the bill. Recent fundraising records show Gillum is in close cahoots with far-left donor George Soros, an ardent opponent of charter schools – who appears to be getting what he paid for.
