RGA Statement on Abigail Spanberger’s Democrat Response to President Donald J. Trump’s State of the Union Address

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association (RGA) released the following statement after Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger’s Democrat Response to President Donald J. Trump’s State of the Union Address:

“In just a few weeks as governor, Abigail Spanberger has turned Virginia into a Sanctuary State, driven major businesses out of Virginia, and pushed to raise taxes on Virginia families. While Spanberger tries to tout the Democrats’ ‘affordability plan,’ let her record serve as a reminder to every American family that the most expensive states in the country are led by Democrats,” said RGA Deputy Communications Director Kollin Crompton. “Life is harder now under Spanberger than it was under Republican leadership in Virginia, and it should serve as a warning sign to every voter in the midterms.”
