FL Dem Gov Candidate Andrew Gillum’s Far-Left Donors Caught Up In Email Scandal

Despite an ongoing criminal investigation for his use of an official city email system for campaign purposes, embattled Democrat Florida gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum’s efforts to appease far-left billionaires and Hollywood liberals seems to have paid off for him – but at the expense of taxpayers. A new fundraising report shows Gillum recently accepted contributions from far-left donor George Soros and Hollywood liberal Jane Fonda, and that Gillum communicated with Soros entities on the city email system, at the taxpayers’ expense.

The Palm Beach Post reports that Soros and his son recently donated over $150,000 to Gillum’s campaign:

“Billionaire George Soros gave $100,000 last week to Gillum’s Forward Florida committee and son Alex Soros chipped in another $50,000. TV producer and People For The American Way founder Norman Lear gave $50,000 to the committee and actress Jane Fonda contributed $7,000, according to a report filed by Forward Florida.”

And The Sunshine State News reports that Gillum communicated with Soros entities on the city email system, paid for by taxpayers:

“He also sent the emails to non-city residents such as George Soros’ Open Society entity and to Soros’ family members, and many others who clearly don’t live in Tallahassee, but they are potential supporters of his race for governor — again, at city taxpayers’ expense.”

Gillum has established ties to the infamous far-left billionaire Soros, whose Open Society Foundations group earmarked $700,000 in 2012 the Young Elected Officials Network, of which Gillum served as executive director. Now, it appears Andrew Gillum is in turn receiving generous donations from Soros and others after corresponding with members of his organization at the taxpayers’ expense.

With his complete lack of regard for Florida election laws, Andrew Gillum has made it increasingly clear he is for himself, Hollywood liberals and far-left billionaires, not Florida families.
