FACT CHECK: Dem Gov Gina Raimondo Misleads Voters On Rhode Island’s Stagnant Economy

At last night’s gubernatorial debate in Rhode Island, Democrat governor Gina Raimondo continued to mislead voters, claiming that the economy is doing “better than average” and that the state has “the number one wage growth in America” under her administration.

Not only has Rhode Island’s unemployment rate remained higher than the national average under Raimondo – with the state losing 2,400 jobs last month alone – but Rhode Island ranked 27th in the nation for wage growth this year according to Business Insider, not even close to number one:

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Raimondo has tried to push false claims to hide her administration’s record of anemic job growth, she and her staff have been caught multiple times pushing fiction to voters about employment numbers. With less than six weeks to go until Election Day, it’s clear that Raimondo is desperate to cover up her record of failure when it comes to improving Rhode Island’s economy.
