National Democrats led by Nancy Pelosi have pledged to raise taxes if they take control of Congress and reverse the tax cuts signed into law by President Trump, even as families in Pennsylvania begin to see massive benefits.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that the Republican tax cuts are now causing a decrease in monthly water bills for Pennsylvanians. “Most water customers will see a decrease of nearly 6.8 percent, while wastewater charges will dip nearly 7.7 percent for most customers who receive sewage service from the company, according to Hershey, Pa.-based Pennsylvania American.”
And while lowering monthly utility bills means more money in the pockets of hardworking Pennsylvania families, Tom Wolf has a record of trying to do the opposite. In 2017 he supported a plan to place “new or higher taxes on consumers utility bills.”
It’s time for Tom Wolf to finally weigh in and say where he stands – does he support Nancy Pelosi’s plan to reverse these tax cuts? Will he continue his crusade to keep utility bills high and oppose the law that is effectively lowering monthly costs for families in Pennsylvania?
It’s time for Tom Wolf to admit where he stands: with the people of Pennsylvania or with Nancy Pelosi.
