WASHINGTON, D.C. – Abigail Spanberger is out with a new ad this morning, desperately attempting to erase her record in Washington of supporting policies that drove skyrocketing inflation and prices.
In the ad, Spanberger says, “the costs for families across Virginia in housing, in health care, and in energy, every day just gets a little harder.”
Well, families are in fact facing hard times BECAUSE of the very policies Spanberger was championing while part of the problem in Congress:
- Spanberger voted for the dubious “Inflation Reduction Act,” which even the AP said didn’t contribute to a reduction in inflation.
- Spanberger voted for the “American Rescue Plan,” which also contributed to inflation.
- Spanberger opposed the 2017 middle-class tax cuts that gave hardworking American families nearly an extra $2,000 a year. She even said putting money back in Americans’ pockets was “irresponsible.”
“Spanberger’s disastrous record in Washington, D.C. has contributed to rising costs for working families. It’s this kind of about face that Virginians are tired of with swampy politicians like Abigail Spanberger,” said RGA Rapid Response Director Kollin Crompton. “Winsome Earle-Sears and Gov. Glenn Youngkin have been on the front lines of fighting back on these policies and growing Virginia’s economy. Spanberger would bring all of D.C.’s failed policies to Virginia.”
