WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association issued the following statement on Doug Ducey’s victory in Arizona:
“Arizona is fortunate to have a reformer like Doug Ducey as its next governor,” said RGA Chairman Chris Christie. “Ducey is an enthusiastic, results-driven leader, and his victory is the state’s next step on the path forward. Arizona’s future is in good hands under Governor-elect Doug Ducey, and the Republican Governors Association is proud to congratulate him on his victory.”
The Republican Governors Association was a key investor in Governor-elect Doug Ducey’s victory, spending $5.2 million on paid media and mail. The RGA ran six television ads in Arizona, including one Spanish-language ad, detailing Democrat Fred DuVal’s record of raising tuition on middle class families. The ads also defined DuVal as a slick lobbyist with a liberal agenda that was wrong for Arizona.
