Michigan Democrat gubernatorial candidate Gretchen Whitmer’s announcement that she supports the radical Abolish ICE movement continues to serve as a major political gaffe for her campaign.
A new AP-NORC poll shows that only a mere 25 percent of Democrats support abolishing ICE, as it remains an unpopular idea across the political spectrum and rejected by common-sense voters. In adopting her far-left position, Whitmer has put herself in the minority of even her own party’s voters, choosing a radical political agenda over keeping the people of Michigan safe.
Whitmer’s reckless decision to take an extreme position only supported by a small fraction of voters proves that she’s too out-of-touch to lead Michigan.
