As reported by OregonLive/The Oregonian, Tina Kotek and Betsy Johnson commented on how they would address the state’s homeless and drug crises.
The irony of their “plans” and “ideas” is that these long-serving Democrat legislators have nearly two decades of leadership in the Oregon Legislature under their belt yet all they could do was point to what they WOULD do.
I pulled out a few of their ironic quotes from the article:
“The Oregon Legislature has made unprecedented behavioral health investments over the last six years, but we’re not seeing better outcomes.”
“The state has been asleep at the wheel…”
“The state needs to…”
“When it comes to the state’s failures to address problems and to deliver real outcomes that solve them, Tina Kotek and Betsy Johnson need to look in the mirror,” said RGA Spokeswoman Kaitlin Price. “After a combined 36 years in service to the state, Betsy Johnson and Tina Kotek should be embarrassed that all they can do is wag their fingers at the inefficiencies and failures of the team they’ve been a part of. Oregonians have seen how these Democrats have failed to deliver, they aren’t going to give them the opportunity to try again; especially not as the chief executive of the state.”
