RGA Statement On Wisconsin Democrats Nominating Far-Left Politician Tony Evers for Governor

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association released the following statement regarding Wisconsin Democrats selecting left-wing politician Tony Evers as their nominee for governor:

“By choosing Tony Evers as their nominee, Wisconsin Democrats have selected a far-left, big government politician committed to raising taxes and opposing job creation,” said RGA Communications Director Jon Thompson. “As the state’s top education official, Evers has consistently failed Wisconsin students, and opposed Governor Walker’s successful efforts to spur job growth throughout the state. Wisconsin is moving forward with record growth, but Tony Evers would take the state backwards.”
