The Republican Governors Association congratulated Bill Maloney on officially securing the Republican nomination for governor. Maloney will face Democratic Governor Earl Ray Tomblin in the general election.
“West Virginians can trust Bill Maloney to do what’s best for the state and strengthen its economy,” said RGA Chairman Bob McDonnell. “Bill Maloney is unafraid to combat the federal government’s overreach, whether it’s Obamacare or the war against coal, and his experience creating jobs is exactly what West Virginia needs.”
“Earl Ray Tomblin is a career politician, who’s been in office for more than 35 years,” added RGA Executive Director Phil Cox. “But after four decades, Tomblin’s actions speak louder than his words. The truth is that while Earl Ray Tomblin has benefited from public office, the average West Virginian continues to struggle. It’s time for a change.”

The truth is @katiehobbs has nothing to run on other than a string of unpopular vetoes and a housing crisis that has only gotten worse since she’s been Governor. Time for her to own her record. https://x.com/GOPGovs/status/2079251964924146082/photo/1
