RGA Statement On Radical Liberal Andru Volinsky Entering New Hampshire Governor’s Race

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association (RGA) released the following statement from Executive Director Dave Rexrode regarding liberal Democrat Andru Volinsky’s entry into the New Hampshire governor’s race:

“Under Governor Chris Sununu’s leadership, New Hampshire has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country, and more Granite Staters working than ever before. New Hampshire ranks among the best states to live with one of the lowest tax burdens on businesses and citizens. 

“Extreme liberal Andru Volinsky wants to put a statewide property tax, sales tax, and income tax ‘on the table’ and openly supports Bernie Sanders’ radical policies that would raise even more taxes on the middle class. Andru Volinsky’s left-wing, tax hiking agenda would make the Live Free or Die State look more like the high-tax, high-cost liberal enclaves of California and New York.

“With Governor Sununu’s record of bipartisan achievement, it’s not surprising that the only Democrats entering the race are ultra-liberal backbenchers. New Hampshire Democrats now face a disappointing slate of candidates that will be locked in a race to the left all the way to the primary in September.”
