
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association released the following statement in regards to Maine Democrats selecting longtime tax-and-spender Janet Mills as their nominee for governor:
“By nominating Janet Mills for governor, Maine Democrats have selected a tax-and-spend career politician who will take Maine in the wrong direction,” said RGA Communications Director Jon Thompson. “Mills used taxpayer resources to politicize the Attorney General’s office, and now wants to erase the positive economic reforms that have brought Maine’s unemployment rate to a record low. Voters will reject Janet Mills’ destructive economic agenda this November, and continue to enact the pro-growth reforms that are bringing jobs back to Maine.”
