WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association released the following statement regarding Iowa Democrats selecting Fred Hubbell as their nominee for governor:
“By selecting liberal megadonor and longtime political insider Fred Hubbell as their standard bearer, Iowa Democrats have doubled down on the stale, left-wing politics that would take the state backwards,” said RGA Communications Director Jon Thompson. “Fred Hubbell’s opposition to tax relief for working families and pro-growth policies shows that Hubbell is simply too out-of-touch for Iowa voters, and doesn’t have what it takes to lead. Voters will reject Hubbell at the ballot box this November and continue Governor Kim Reynolds’ positive results-driven leadership.”
