WASHINGTON D.C. – The Republican Governors Association released a new television advertisement today in the North Carolina governor’s race, detailing career politician Roy Cooper’s failure to do his job as Attorney General.

“Throughout his 15 years as North Carolina’s Attorney General, career politician Roy Cooper routinely failed to do his job,” said RGA Communications Director Jon Thompson. “Cooper’s failure to fix problems at the state crime lab may have impacted the state’s ability to administer justice, and his incompetence resulted in the state removing the SBI from his control. North Carolina families are less safe today because Roy Cooper didn’t do his job.”
