RGA Congratulates Florida Governor-Elect Ron DeSantis

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association issued the following statement congratulating Governor-Elect Ron DeSantis on his victory in Florida:

“Governor-Elect Ron DeSantis will make Florida a stronger state,” said RGA Chairman Governor Bill Haslam. “His victory affirms that Floridians want to continue successful, pro-growth policies that have set the state on the right track, and with DeSantis as governor, Florida’s future is bright. The RGA is proud to congratulate Governor-Elect Ron DeSantis on his victory.”

“The Florida governorship was the biggest prize of the night for Democrats, but despite the national media attention, and millions of dollars pumped into the state by the DGA, Tom Steyer, Georgia Soros and other far-left groups, Florida voters rejected Gillum and his radical policies,” said RGA Executive Director Paul Bennecke. “This is a huge loss for Democrats and a major victory for Republicans.”
