WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association issued the following statement on the outcome of the Arizona gubernatorial primary election:
“Arizona has long been a state that gains its strength from common-sense state capital leadership, and Doug Ducey is the right candidate to continue that tradition as governor,” said RGA Chairman Chris Christie. “Ducey is a successful businessman, a job creator and a committed Arizonan, and most of all, he has a reformed-based plan to stimulate even more economic growth and opportunity in the state. The Republican Governors Association is proud to support Doug Ducey to be Arizona’s next governor.”
“This election is a choice between Doug Ducey, a principled leader who will do what’s best for Arizona’s future, and Fred DuVal, a far-left Democrat whose policies would reverse Arizona’s progress,” said RGA Executive Director Phil Cox. “Arizona has come too far to turn back now. Liberal lobbyist Fred DuVal can’t be counted on to do what’s right for Arizona.”
