WASHINGTON D.C. – RGA Chairman Governor Scott Walker and RGA Policy Chair Governor Mary Fallin released the following statement praising President Donald Trump’s signing of an Executive Order that begins to roll back the disastrous Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean Power Plan (CPP) that restricted carbon dioxide emissions from new and existing power plants.
“President Trump’s latest Executive Order that begins to roll back the EPA’s job-killing so-called Clean Power Plan is a win for states and a win for the American people. The Obama administration’s plan was an unnecessary and burdensome regulation that would have threatened jobs, jeopardized energy reliability, and driven up energy costs for millions of hard-working Americans. We applaud President Trump’s commitment to working with the states to put American energy solutions first.”
