While Wisconsin’s GOP Governor Scott Walker has made it a priority to fight for lower taxes on working families, Democrat gubernatorial candidate Tony Evers admitted yesterday that he is open to imposing costly new tax hikes if elected this November.
The Associated Press reports that Evers expressed willingness to increase taxes on income and gasoline as part of his agenda, but offered no specific plan describing how much they would go up, refusing to give voters any idea of what his tax hikes would cost them.
While Governor Walker continues to stand up for Wisconsin taxpayers, securing billions of dollars in tax relief for working families since taking office, Evers has made it clear that he would reverse years of pro-jobs policies and make the Badger State less affordable.
