Amid growing pressure on Governor Evers to intervene and stop the early release of a man who killed his 23-year old wife in front of their 2 and 4-year old children after serving only a quarter of his sentence, reporters from WISN 12 News attempted to question him on the matter.

His response? “No, nope, I’m just trying to get out the door here…no comment ’cause I’m out the door.”

REMINDER: Evers appointed the parole board chairman who made the decision to let the convicted killer walk free in just four days.

“Governor Evers displayed the peak of cowardice as he hid behind his handlers while being asked important questions that impact the safety of every Wisconsinite,” said RGA Spokeswoman Maddie Anderson. “He must immediately step up and reverse the decision to release a convicted wife-killer into the communities of Wisconsin.”
