Republican gubernatorial candidate Knute Buehler continues to surge in deep-blue Oregon, with a new poll showing Buehler taking a narrow lead in the race to oust failed Governor Kate Brown. Last month, the Oregonian reported that a Gravis Marketing poll found Buehler tied with Brown, and that a local Oregon pollster noted that the results “were in line with his firm’s work.”
Now, a new poll from Clout Research finds that Buehler has taken a narrow one-point lead in the governor’s race, making it a dead heat in the deep-blue state of Oregon. Buehler leads Brown 43-42.
With a strong focus on solving problems Kate Brown has ignored, like failing schools and the pension crisis, Knute Buehler is “defying expectations” in the Oregon governor’s race.
