New Poll: Massachusetts GOP Governor Charlie Baker Is Once Again Ranked As America’s Most Popular Governor

New polling shows that Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker has once again been rated as America’s most popular governor. The latest quarterly survey by Morning Consult shows Governor Baker’s approval rating remaining sky-high at 69 percent.

While virtually every public poll shows Governor Baker receiving historically positive marks for leadership, political experts have taken note of his strong position for re-election this November, with both The Cook Political Report and Larry Sabato’s Crystal Ball rating the Massachusetts gubernatorial race as “safe” or “solid” for the GOP.

As Governor Baker remains committed to expanding opportunity for the people of Massachusetts through bipartisan, pro-jobs policies, his constituents are making it clear that they strongly approve of his leadership.

The poll found that Baker, a Republican, had an approval rate of 69 percent, with just 17 percent of Massachusetts voters disapproving of the job he is doing.

Baker was followed in popularity by Republican Gov. Larry Hogan of Maryland and Republican Gov. Kay Ivey of Alabama…

Although Massachusetts tends to be a liberal state and Baker is a Republican, Baker has frequently worked across party lines with the Democrats who control the Legislature…”
