GOP Governor Larry Hogan continues to post sky-high job approval ratings in the deep blue state of Maryland, and now leads his far-left Democrat challenger Ben Jealous by an astounding 16 points.
A new poll out this morning from Gonzales Research finds Hogan with a “sizeable lead” in the general election against Jealous, with Hogan leading 52% to 36%. “Jealous has yet to capture any real traction,” the pollster tells the Baltimore Sun.
Hogan maintains a 71% job approval rating, leads in pivotal Baltimore County by 36 points, and even runs competitive in Baltimore City and Prince George’s county, two Democrat strongholds.
Ben Jealous’ poor polling numbers come as Democrat leaders and unions abandon Jealous, and as TV ads from the Republican Governors Association expose Jealous’ far-left, extreme proposals to hike taxes, wreck the budget and damage Maryland’s economy.
