According to a new poll, the New Mexico governor’s race is a virtual toss-up.
As GOP gubernatorial nominee Steve Pearce surges, the race is now within the margin of error and continues to tighten.
This comes just after former Democrat Gov. Jerry Apodaca crossed party lines to endorse Pearce over Lujan Grisham in the governor’s race, praising him as a “straightforward and honest man.”
The poll is more proof that Pearce’s unifying message is resonating with voters in building a bipartisan coalition, while Lujan Grisham’s numerous scandals and divisive rhetoric continue to drag down her candidacy.
