New Mexico Democrats Aren’t Sold On Michelle Lujan Grisham For Governor

Seven months after Michelle Lujan Grisham made her decision to run for governor, New Mexico Democrats appear far from sold on the idea of choosing her as their party’s nominee for the 2018 election.  More candidates continue to join the Democrat gubernatorial primary race as the party shows no appetite to clear the field for Lujan Grisham.

State Senator Joseph Cervantes’ entrance to the race this month made him the fourth candidate of the increasingly crowded Democrat primary for governor. With former television executive Jeff Apodaca and advocate Peter DeBenedittis also announcing bids over the last few months, Lujan Grisham’s campaign shows no signs of solidifying support.

After spending years in Washington D.C. supporting Nancy Pelosi’s far-left agenda instead of New Mexico’s interests, even her fellow Democrats know that Lujan Grisham would only take the state backwards.
