New Audit Shows How Dem Gov Kate Brown Has Failed Oregon Schools

Following a report that Oregon schools remain among the worst in the nation, with the 3rd worst graduation rate, a new audit by Oregon’s Secretary of State is revealing just how much embattled Democrat Governor Kate Brown has failed at fixing the state’s education crisis.

Despite repeated promises to improve Oregon’s failing education system, new statistics reveal the depths of the problem and her inability to fix it. The Secretary of State audit finds that Brown’s Department of Education “isn’t paying enough attention to certain groups of students and schools,”  including “students from low-income families, middle school students, and students that transfer between districts during their high school years.”

Among the audits findings are troubling statistics – most notably that “70 percent of pupils who don’t graduate on time come from low-income households.” Additionally, students who transfer schools are being left without proper support, resulting in a graduation rate 30% lower than their peers.

Kate Brown has proven unable to fix Oregon’s struggling schools, instead focusing her time in office on national activist causes and massive tax increases to benefit her special interest allies. Oregon deserves better than failed Governor Kate Brown.
