Michelle Lujan Grisham’s campaign paid out more than $72,000 in legal fees in their most recent financial statement. According to the Albuquerque Journal, this comes months after the campaign “reported paying $150,000” as “part of a settlement reached with a former staffer” who accused the Governor of grabbing his crotch.
What more, Governor Lujan Grisham’s team refused to comment about the payment and blew off more than one reporter when pressed about the issue.
“A campaign does not pay out $72,000 in legal fees to a law firm not known for practicing election law unless something improper happened involving Michelle Lujan Grisham,” said RGA spokesman Will Reinert. “Regardless if this payment was for the $150,000 sexual harassment settlement or another unreported scandal involving Governor Lujan Grisham, New Mexicans deserve to know the truth.”
