GOP Governor Kim Reynolds Announces Largest Tax Cut In Iowa History

On Friday, Iowa GOP Governor Kim Reynolds announced the largest tax cut in state history, bringing her state one step closer to historic tax reform that will put hard-earned dollars back in the pockets of working Iowa families. The Des Moines Register reports that Iowa Republicans have come to an agreement on “the largest state tax relief and tax policy package in Iowa history.”

Reynolds’ plan would cut taxes by nearly $400 million, resulting in an average ten percent tax cut. Working families will see even greater relief.

“This historic state-level tax reform — coupled with tax reform at the federal level — will bring significant relief to working-class Iowans in a fiscally responsible fashion that will allow the state to meet its budget responsibilities in the future,” said Governor Kim Reynolds.

While Democrat governors across the country work to hike taxes and Democrat gubernatorial candidates in Iowa pledge to do the same, Governor Reynolds is delivering for working families and making paying the bills easier for those that need help most.
