Failed Governor Bill Walker Unknowingly Highlights How His Democrat Tax Hikes Would Hurt Alaska

Just days after declaring that he will enter the Democrat primary, Embattled Governor Bill Walker is highlighting how much his Democrat tax hike agenda would hurt Alaskans.

On Monday, Walker declared that May would be Aviation Appreciation Month. In a proclamation, Walker pointed out that aviation remains “vital” for rural Alaskans, while generating over 47,000 jobs and 8 percent of Alaska’s economic activity.

But, Walker failed to mention that his own administration recently proposed $1.5 million in new fees that would make aviation travel more expensive.

Aviation isn’t the only area where Walker wants Alaskans to pay more. Walker is also pushing a new income tax – despite telling voters in 2014 that he had “no intention” of supporting “a statewide tax.”

Walker sold himself as an “Independent,” who wouldn’t raise taxes, but now he’s showing his true colors. Alaskans deserve better than Bill Walker’s broken promises and Democrat tax hikes.
