Despite High Support For Governor Scott Walker’s Pro-Growth Reforms, Wisconsin Dem Gov Candidates Embrace Anti-Jobs Agenda

With Wisconsin Democrat gubernatorial candidates firmly united in opposing Governor Scott Walker’s efforts to bring thousands of new jobs to Wisconsin, their party has made it clear that they will run on an anti-business, anti-jobs platform in 2018. But as Governor Walker’s results continue to receive strong support, their opposition to pro-growth policies show how out of touch they really are.

A new poll released yesterday shows that nearly 75% of Wisconsin business leaders support Governor Walker’s groundbreaking deal with Foxconn Technology Group to bring 13,000 new jobs, while 70% rate the state’s economy under his leadership as either strong or very strong. While Wisconsin’s business community shows overwhelming signs of confidence in Governor Walker’s leadership, Democrats like Dana Wachs, Tony Evers, Mahlon Mitchell, and Andy Gronik, have repeatedly doubled-down on reversing his successful policies.

With a record number of Wisconsinites working thanks to Governor Scott Walker’s pro-jobs, pro-growth policies, Democrats running for governor continue to stand in the way of job-creation for the sake of their own political ambitions.

The Wisconsin State Journal reports:

“Thirty percent of the executives who responded to a poll by Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce said they “strongly” support the $3 billion in state incentives for Foxconn, while 43 percent support it ‘somewhat.’

The Taiwanese electronics giant says it will build a $10 billion liquid-crystal display plant in southeastern Wisconsin that could eventually employ as many as 13,000 workers…

Business leaders are positive about the state’s economy — 58 percent said it is ‘strong,’ while 12 percent rated it as ‘very strong.’ They also support Gov. Scott Walker, with 63 percent saying they ‘strongly’ approve of his actions and 27 percent approving ‘somewhat.’”
