Connecticut’s Economy Nosedives Under Failed Gov. Dan Malloy, Adds ZERO Jobs In 2016

Failed Governor Dan Malloy’s already abysmal performance on jobs got even worse in 2016. The Connecticut Department of Labor reports today that in 2016, Connecticut experienced its worst job growth of the last 7 years, and that the state ended the year with 200 fewer jobs than it started with. Malloy’s anti-jobs policies have forced existing businesses to leave the state and ensure new businesses stay far away. Democrat governors like Dan Malloy talk a big game on jobs, but as this new stat proves, they are all talk and no action.

The Hartford Courant reports:

“Connecticut had its worst job growth of the last seven years as government cutbacks swamped private sector growth. The state’s economy finished 2016 with 200 fewer jobs than it had at the beginning of the year.

Connecticut’s economy stands in contrast to the national picture, where 2,240,000 jobs were added during the year — a 1.5 percent growth rate —and government jobs grew by almost 1 percent.”

Connecticut continues to decline every year under Dan Malloy, as the state loses businesses and exhibits stagnant job growth – while its infrastructure literally falls into disrepair. Malloy’s time in office has been an unmitigated disaster for the people of the Connecticut.
