Connecticut Dem Gov Candidates Unite Behind Disastrous Malloy-Style Tax Hikes For 2018 Election

While Failed Democrat Governor Dan Malloy may have decided against running for a another term in Connecticut after watching his approval rating fall to a record low, the field of Democrat candidates vying to replace him in 2018 has doubled and tripled-down on his disastrous tax-and-spend policies, ignoring the catastrophic impact they’ve had on the state. New video of Democrat gubernatorial candidate Dan Drew at a recent debate shows the embattled Middletown mayor coming out in favor of tolling in Connecticut along with even more Malloy-style tax hikes that have driven the state into fiscal ruin:

But Drew isn’t the only candidate who has campaigned on raising taxes for Connecticut families. In October, liberal trial lawyer Chris Mattei not only came out in favor of tolls but also proposed pushing what he called “creative revenue solutions” such as imposing a California-style “robot tax” on Connecticut businesses:

Democrat hedge fund manager Dita Bhargava also signaled her openness to raising taxes to get “new revenue for our state:”

And Malloy Protégé Luke Bronin, who raised speculation that he might enter the race as well despite promises to complete his term as Hartford Mayor, has driven his city further into fiscal chaos through imposing Malloy-style policies while backing his party’s destructive agenda.

While Democrats may not have a top-tier candidate to unite their field for 2018, all of the party’s candidates are firmly united behind Dan Malloy’s failed tax-and-spend agenda which would do even more damage to Connecticut’s weakened economy. As they remain committed to pushing the same failed policies of the last eight years, none one of these Malloy Enablers belong anywhere near Connecticut’s highest office.
