Arizona Dem Gov Candidate Garners National Attention For Foot Rubs and Sexting

With a weak bench in the states, Democrats continue to struggle to find mainstream candidates for run for office. Nowhere is this clearer than Arizona, where despite boasts of gaining ground, the Democrats’ best option for the 2018 governor’s race is Noah Dyer, a candidate who is gaining national attention for all the wrong reasons. On his campaign site he brags about foot rubs, sexting, and crushing personal debt, as CNN reports:

“Under the tab marked “Scandal and Controversy,” Dyer lists a full page of what he calls the ‘nitty-gritty details’ about his personal life. And boy is it personal. He admits to casual (and ‘deep’) sexual flings with women and is OK with open relationships. Group sex? Been there. Sex with married women? Done that. Oh and he’s been known to sext and to video record his sexual encounters from time to time… Dyer, a Democrat, announced his campaign on February 14 with a ‘love letter’ to Arizona (‘I want to make dinner for you, rub your feet …’)”

Democrats have been talking a big game lately about staging their national comeback in 2018 by winning states like Arizona, but if they plan on trusting their future to candidates more concerned about foot rubs than creating jobs, history will continue to repeat itself for Democrats at the ballot box.
