Maryland GOP Governor Larry Hogan continues to rack up endorsements from Democrats and Democrat-leaning groups that have shunned their party’s far-left, radical gubernatorial nominee Ben Jealous.
The Washington Post reports that the International Association of Firefighters has endorsed Hogan, making it the “third labor group that traditionally backs Democrats” to back Hogan instead. The union even backed Hogan’s opponent in the 2014 election, and the union’s president “could not recall the last time the group supported a Republican for statewide office.”
“We know that Governor Larry Hogan has our back,” said Mike Rund, president of the Professional Fire Fighters of Maryland.
This latest endorsement comes as Jealous faces “resistance” from his own party over his radical tax hike plans, with Democrats declining to endorse Jealous and admitting to reporters that Jealous “has no chance against Hogan.”
