RGA Releases New Attack Ad: Michiganders Can't Afford Mark Schauer

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association released a new television advertisement today in the Michigan governor’s race which offers further evidence of Democrat candidate Mark Schauer’s fondness for big government and the unreasonable tax and fee hikes that come with it.

“Mark Schauer’s background as an elected official is riddled with wrong, expensive choices, and the big government approach he employed gave way to some of Michigan’s toughest times,” said RGA Communications Director Gail Gitcho. “Governor Snyder cleaned up the mess Schauer and others left behind in Michigan, finally putting the days of economic downturn in the past. Mark Schauer had a chance to bring more prosperity to Michigan, but he governed in a way that took the state down the wrong road. A record like that doesn’t deserve an encore.”
