RGA Statement on Illinois Gubernatorial Primary Results

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association released the following statement on State Senator Darren Bailey’s primary election victory:

“The RGA congratulates State Senator Darren Bailey on his gubernatorial primary victory,” said RGA Co-Chairs Governors Doug Ducey and Pete Ricketts. “As the state of Illinois is in turmoil with rising inflation and skyrocketing violent crime under a Democrat governor who is asleep at the wheel, we look forward to working with the Bailey campaign to show people there’s a better path forward under Republican leadership.”
