It seems Governor Lujan Grisham’s repeated scandals continue to take her eye off the ball, and this time it’s hurting New Mexico’s kids.
WalletHub recently released their ranking for the states with the worst public school education, and guess what? New Mexico was dead last with the lowest total score and the:
- Worst overall quality of education.
- 49th lowest school safety score.
- The 2nd highest dropout rate.
- 50th in reading test scores.
And with Lujan Grisham on her third Public Education and Public Safety Secretary of her tenure, you can’t place the blame on anyone but the Governor.
“New Mexicans should be alarmed at Governor Lujan Grisham’s poor performance as her failures continue to pile up,” said RGA spokesman Will Reinert. “Children are New Mexico’s greatest asset and the future of the state, and it’s clear Lujan Grisham doesn’t have the ability to make a meaningful difference and is too preoccupied with the scandals haunting her administration.”
