FACT CHECK: On CNN, Stacey Abrams Tries To Mislead Georgians On Her Support For Tax Hikes

Democrat Stacey Abrams is on a mission to mislead Georgia voters about her support for tax hikes.

On CNN this morning, Jake Tapper directly asked Abrams if she would raise taxes on Georgians if she was elected. But instead of giving voters an honest answer, she tried to mislead voters into thinking she does not intend to do so.

But not only has Abrams already contradicted this statement by supporting the reversal of an estimated $330 million in tax cuts over the next five years, but she was recently caught on tape admitting that raising taxes on Georgia families is “necessary.” This shameful attempt by Abrams to mislead is further proof that she cannot be trusted to lead or be honest with Georgia voters.
