In Colorado Gov Run, Walker Stapleton Fights For Mental Health Reform, Access

In the Colorado governor’s race, Republican Walker Stapleton has released a new plan to reform the mental health care system and increase access to affordable health care.

Stapleton’s three-pronged proposal will improve mental health services by integrating them into the primary care system, lower costs by cutting administrative waste, and expand access to more affordable health care plans. On top of these critical reforms, Stapleton’s plan will “cover pre-existing conditions, allow young adults stay on their parents’ health insurance and have options for coverage of maternity care.”

Stapleton’s approach stands in stark contrast to Democrat gubernatorial nominee Jared Polis’s plan of a complete government takeover of health care that would bankrupt the state and require more than doubling income taxes.

Walker Stapleton’s focus on mental health and improving access once again shows that he’s a pragmatic leader with real solutions.
