“James Smith has spent years in Columbia pushing for higher taxes on working South Carolina families to pay for big government programs while allegedly using his business as an illegal pass-through for federal contract money,” said RGA spokesman John Burke. “South Carolinians deserve a governor who will fight for their economic security and uphold the public’s trust, but James Smith has proven he’s nothing more than a liberal politician who is out for himself.
