WASHINGTON D.C. – The Republican Governors Association released the following statement regarding Governor Tim Pawlenty’s announcement that he will run for governor of Minnesota.
“The Minnesota governorship is now a top pick-up opportunity for Republicans this November. Tim Pawlenty’s entrance into the race strengthens chances for GOP victory and immediately puts the race in the toss-up column,” said RGA Communications Director Jon Thompson. “As a former RGA Vice Chairman and RGA Executive Committee member, and successful two term governor who delivered results, Pawlenty has the experience and leadership to lead Minnesota forward.”
