After Impressive Display of Leadership, RGA Gives $2 Million To Gillespie Campaign, Brings Total RGA Investment So Far To $3 Million
WASHINGTON D.C. – The Republican Governors Association praised Ed Gillespie’s strong performance in today’s Virginia gubernatorial debate and in response to the impressive leadership he demonstrated in the debate, the RGA is giving an additional $2 million direct contribution to Gillespie’s campaign, bringing the RGA’s total investment in the race so far to $3 million, following a $1 million direct contribution to his campaign in June. This latest significant RGA investment will ensure Gillespie has the resources for victory this fall.
“In today’s debate, Ed Gillespie offered a substantive vision for Virginia’s future and made it clear that he is the only candidate in the race who would be a governor for all Virginians,” said RGA Chairman Governor Scott Walker. “Virginia is a top pick-up opportunity for Republicans and the RGA is proud to partner with Gillespie’s campaign as an early investor. With this additional major investment, the RGA is proving once again that we are all-in to ensure Ed has the resources to win in November.”
