Prominent Democratic political operatives are ringing alarm bells about Arizona’s once-reliable Hispanic vote fleeing the party, according to a new report.
Why are Dems losing ground with a critical portion of their base?
- “Democrats target Latinos by talking about immigration. But polls show immigration ranks 5th or 6th among the issues most important to these voters. The economy is usually the top concern.“
- “Democrats talk about diversity. But by pleasing white progressives, they push out moderate Hispanic candidates.”
- “‘They run the same [expletive] game plan every two years.'”
“Katie Hobbs may be loved by the TopGolf crowd, but few Hispanic voters are excited to support her or any other Democrat this cycle,” said RGA spokesman Will Reinert.“
