In the Iowa governor’s race, Democrat Nate Boulton’s campaign rollout is off to a rough start. Debuting his campaign slogan “Building Iowa’s Future” this morning, Boulton immediately raised eyebrows among Iowa reporters, who were quick to point out that it was the exact same slogan Governor Terry Branstad used during his 2014 gubernatorial campaign.
Out of new ideas, Iowa Democrats’ apparently view plagiarism as their best political strategy going forward. If Iowa voters can’t even trust Boulton to come up with his own campaign slogan, they can’t trust him to lead Iowa as governor.
