Wisconsin Dem Gov Candidates Triple Down On Opposing Job Creation Efforts

Failing to catch fire with voters in a crowded field with no clear front runner, Wisconsin Democrat gubernatorial candidates continue to triple-down on opposing job creation and economic development. The Cap Times reports that Dana Wachs and Matt Flynn have both pledged to end Governor Scott Walker’s successful recruitment of Foxconn to the state, despite proof of its future benefits to communities across Wisconsin, including roughly 13,000 new jobs. Other Democrat candidates like far-left Madison Mayor Paul Soglin have signaled that they may be willing to do the same if elected.

Wachs’ decision to build his campaign around ending job creation is no surprise given his record on Foxconn in the state legislature. In October, Wachs was caught trying to undermine the agreement they made with the state, seeking only information on the “risks” associated with it. Emails also revealed he had little to do with the “Good Jobs” amendment to the Foxconn legislation that he often touts on the campaign trail.

As Wachs, Flynn, and Soglin continue to build their campaigns on a foundation of opposing economic development and thousands of new jobs for working Wisconsin families, Democrats in the state remain desperate, without a message and without any platform to move the state forward.
