Will Kelly Ignore Border Crisis Coming to KCK?

For over a year Democrat Laura Kelly has followed her Party’s lead and ignored the crisis at the southern border. She stayed silent about the record amounts of fentanyl and methamphetamine making their way from the border into communities across the country as overdose deaths surged across Kansas last year. Kelly also stayed silent about concerns raised by Senator Moran last week that the Biden administration has been flying adult migrants to local communities.

And now, Kelly is silent as Kansas City, Kansas moves toward becoming a sanctuary city. Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt quickly called on lawmakers to give him the tools to push back on this new measure, but Kelly has yet to comment.

“Democrat Laura Kelly is so afraid of alienating even a single far-left supporter that she’s willing to pretend the border and immigration crises her Party created don’t exist,” said RGA spokesperson Joanna Rodriguez. “While Kelly stays silent, Kansas deaths from fentanyl overdoses are surging and Kansas City is marketing itself as an easy dumping ground for the Biden administration’s ‘midnight flights.'”
